The Mississippi Board of Trustees, during its January 18 meeting, approved the $30 million project that will add 450-500 premium seats in a new structure down the third base line.

Every time they put a new addition in, it looks completely different from their last addition. Those "outfield seats" they put in last season after they won the title was hilariously bad.

LSU sucks arse with capital projects and keeping people in the loop. We are going to get a new arena but apparently that isn’t even today’s university “big announcement”. Like show the alums renderings, it’s bizarre what LSU doesn’t disclose.

The grandstand at ole miss is way cleaner and a more tasteful look, and they have an actual real student section that has character.
The box is like building a stadium off of an EA sports game. It’s okay to say the box sucks. Still we need a new arena (plus new MBB coach) first it impacts so many sports

It’s just painfully generic with little to no character. Swayze is more cramped but there’s a little more to it than base amenities too.

If you’re hinting at Alex Box needing upgrades, you need to get in line.
The top of the list right now has to be the PMAC. It’s by far the most dated facility on campus. Hell I’d even put the tiger stadium concourses above Alex box as far as upgrades go.
The updates to the box mostly involve changing the way students are seated and the atmosphere which take very little effort and money from the administrators
