Wade says Emmitt Williams will shoot 35% plus from 3 this year. He's made 500 3s a day this summer.

I’m not saying I buy that he’ll shoot 35%. I just appreciate the effort.

And he only got to attempt 20 before being injured and out for the remainder of the season.

Would be a pleasant surprise but I'm not counting on it. I certainly appreciate his work and effort, but truth be told, most college level players can shoot threes just fine when they're practicing without a defense. Ever watched them warm up before a game? Most rarely miss during warmups. But if Williams does, in fact, shoot 35% next year, that would be awesome.

I’ve seen a lot of misses in warmups.

You don't see "a lot." For instance, go google and find/watch videos of Ben Simmons shooting three point shots. He drains everything. Yet he can't shoot outside 8 feet during a game. I used to get to games pretty early and watch the pre-game warm ups and it's pretty amazing how consistently even the big men shoot from distance when they're taking warmups.

That's nice. I'll take 30% even.

Days, EW and Watford gonna be an unguardable front court if they can all shoot credibly from outside

30% isn't credibly. That is bad

Great to hear. Emmitt is one of the nicer kids you’ll ever meet

I’d take 30% from a guy like Emmitt. It’s not like he’d be shooting that often anyway but it’s just something that may give an opponent a slight moment of pause in defending him.

I don’t think 30% from college 3 shows shooting competency but that is just my opinion. Shouldn’t be shooting them at all if that’s all you’ve got.

Glad you shared your opinion. This opinion along with several of your other opinions tells people exactly what they need to know.

Do you think 30% is good?

It’s not really my opinion that that is below average

Just like batting average in baseball, what’s good can depend on your position. I think 30 for a PF is good.

It's not good, but it's enough to keep teams honest.
