Y’all talk about lack of fan support, but forget that Wade was packing people in for games during his tenure. If the coach is putting a good product on the court, people will go to the games.
Wade was building something special and Tate killed it because of the optics. I like Tate as a person, but he made a huge mistake in firing Wade.

I showed up at the McMorgue tonight for the record. The crowd got into it when we closed the 27 point deficit in the second half. I vowed last year to cancel my tickets but I just couldn’t do it. I love LSU but I hate where we are now. I keep hoping that somehow LSU will correct its mistake and bring Wade home next season.

I never denied this. Once again I will reiterate there is a difference between a devoted fanbase and fans who only show up when there is success. I went to plenty of out of conference games under Wade, and the PMAC wasn't completely packed. Several games it looked about as empty as it was tonight. empty. Undoubtedly people turned up during SEC play and I would never deny that, but again, it all goes back to success. And we don't have an administration that seems to care to much about sustained MBB success.

LSU should be paying me to go watch this train wreck. We need Wade back. McMahon is an absolute disaster.
