Announcers were wrong. They were told actual rules and corrected themselves.

I believe the tv announcers retracted their statement, and later clarified only Cardosa of South Carolina will be suspended for the next game.

Only the goon dq’d for fighting can’t play next game. Players who left the bench are eligible for next game.

So South Carolina will be the #1 overall seed and in the 1st round will have to play the overall #64 seed without Cardozo. Man, are they punishing South Carolina ?
