"why is 6 afraid of 7? Because 789=LSU Dline" or some stupid shite like that....

Miles said he'd be working out at DE in the spring. Someone doesn't know how much Ego weighs. Heck, Ego might not know how much Ego weighs.

maybe in a 3-4 but not in our D....Chavis likes everyone quicker, therefore 300+ most likely will make you an inside player. Having said that, I think there may be some packages where him or maybe even Freak could play outside in special situations eventually.

in a 4-3 as well.

I just have a feeling we will see some 3-4 fronts from LSU at times this year with Mingo standing up....

Yes Hill and Spears both weighed in at around 300. If ego retains his speed and quickness and can rush off of the end I hope they keep him there. We need some ends who can hold the edge. Mingo has trouble doing this because he has trouble shedding blocks on running plays.

So is LSU preparing to evolve to a 3-4? Mickey at nose and EGO and Freak at End. Maclin, Mingo, Adams, and Rasco at OLB/ Stand Up End? Sounds good on paper at least. A great group of guys to juggle into that set.

I definitely think we are getting personnel making a 3-4 an option. I think the more flexibility we have on defense the better!

I want to see a little 3-4 next year. Not a complete switch, just a wrinkle to throw at opposing teams. Freak/Brockers/Davenport at DT. Ego/Downs/Chancey types at DE. Keep Baker and whoever wins MLB in the middle and have Mingo and Montgomery as your OLB's. I don't why, but that just sounds sick to me.

I think our tackles will be better next year then this previous year....

Freak, Ego, Brockers, Jordan Allen (Sleeper) Davenport (could grow up) Downs, Logan...Look out for Logan too...we def have more size...plus the boy from covington...

Maclin = MLB
Mingo = SLB
Baker = WLB

adds some serious and much needed size!!!
