I know this is Auburn week and we still have a long ways to go for the game. But i can't help it.So here goes.

During both of the games we had with the gumps last year the defensive staff had to game plan for Richardson and there was probably lot of effort in terms of game planning to prevent him from breaking big run.
With him gone to the NFL,even if Bama has good backs i don't think none of them are in the same league as Trent. So i think our D will defenitely fare better against the Gumps this year.

Trent Richardson was nearly a non-factor in January.

Yes,that was because of the attention put into stopping him.
I don't think the D needs to divert its attention to a special player who is a Home Run threat each time he line in the backfield this year.
I am confident than lot of folks in the board that AJ won't be able to the dinking and dunking like they did on the NC game.
Our offense will pose a greater challenge to thier D then thier Offense on our D

I try to be as non-biased as possible but that just isn't correct. In my opinion, Lacy is even better than Richardson. Richardson was kind of overrated.

Trent Richardson in the running game was a non-factor his career at Alabama vs LSU.

He was more dangerous out of the backfield on passes then he was running.

I think he only had 1 TD on the ground against us. And it came late in the 4th quarter after our defense lived on the field.

If North Texas and Idaho have been able to dink and dunk and get rid of the football fast why do you think Alabama couldn't do the same?

Who plays RB is irrelevant for Alabama. They have a dominating OLine. Lacy is a explosive back, hurt us more on the ground then Richardson did. And Yeldon has shown explosiveness.

Alabama this year hasn't ran the ball like they have the past couple years. AJ has shown he can throw. But Alabama's passing game hasn't been tested yet. Especially with young WRs.

I think a lot of our success will depend on the ability of out offense having some sustained drives.

Agreed. Our offense in the NCG was non-existent, which kept our defense on the field forever. That won't be the case this year.

People over-value skill positions in the college game. Their run blocking is fricking outstanding no matter who is in the backfield and Lacy is more than capable.

Bama has capable backs. Don't kid yourself.
