That's what's to love about LSU's depth at RB. If one goes down or has a bad day, another one will step up and take his place.
It seems like Saban is running TR more to try and get his Heisman numbers up. It might end up biting Bama in the butt if TR gets hurt and doesn't have a consistent back up to take his place.

I think this is why Les has been getting Magee some carries the last two weeks.
You can debate Blue vs Ford and all you want, but we've got 4 backs that can play. Getting all of them some time will only work to our advantage.
Are those last 6 or so carries after toting it 20 times going to make Ware better? Probably not.
Are those last 6 or so carries going to help Magee, Ware, or Ford? Probably so.

TR has 115 carries.
SW has 105 carries.
I'm sure TR is really, really feeling the weight of those 10 extra carries in 6 games. He almost has to carry it two more times per game that SW. Not sure if his back can handle that extra load.

I think the person who loses in all of this is Ford. It's great seeing the young guys preparing for next year, but there is still half the season left to play.

I really hope Ford gets some more carries. Fumbles be damned. He still has the most TD's, and was a weapon early on.

It's easy to pad your numbers against foes such as Kent St. and N. Texas.
Miss St. and UK aren't having great seasons but I'd be willing to bet they would beat Kent St., N. Texas and Northwestern.

TR is a great back, but realistically he's all 'bama really has. And he can bring the lumber just as well. The drop off after him is much larger than what LSU has. With Ford/Blue/Magee giving Ware a breather - there is no breather for opposing defenses.
All things being equal defensively - 'bama's could wear down much faster and LSU's D-line has more depth and talent.

ford will get more carries i think it is good that Les put him in the dog house for a couple of games it shows the players that turning the ball over will not be tollerated our turnover ratio is one of the most impresive statistics in a really impressive season so far
