are you seriously arguing that LSU has not played better teams thus far?

There is a difference between better teams, and better defenses, no?

I thought this thread was about Eddie George talking about LSU RB's. My bad.

Quietly exits thread
It's really sad. Bama troll has ruined this thread.

Back on topic:
I like Eddie's point about what makes a quality rb. It's not running through gaping holes in space, almost anyone with speed can do that. It's getting those nasty yards when there aren't any holes. Running people over, pushing them down, trying to scratch for one more yard.

LSU's got multiple backs with a Want for more yards.
Swagger.

LOL at you calling anyone a troll. You are one of the worst posters when you post on the SEC rant.

Anyway, to the cool LSU posters, can't wait for Nov. 5th, it will be an intense game with either team capable of coming out on top.

Am I supposed to read: Any non-Bama poster on the SECrant?

You're purposefully ruining an LSU Rb thread, TROLL. GFY.

Ford is a beast and should get PT. Not sure what the issue is but would be nice to see him on the field.

I loved watching Ware truck the Florida guy to get the first down, or close to it.

Why are we even arguing about our quarterbacks? When you look at the QB situation at both schools, they are almost identical. Both QBs have not been asked to do a lot, and both have performed very efficiently. It's really hard to know how either would do in adverse conditions since neither have really faced that yet.

I would argue that Lee has faced extremely adverse conditions in the past so he may be better prepared for those situations in the future. He has led several fourth quarter comebacks (Auburn 08, Troy 08, Tennessee 10 and Florida 10) and has played in the most hostile places in the SEC. Jefferson also led a comeback against Arky 09. So, that's it on the QBs.

Let's talk about running backs. I would argue that TR is the best of all the LSU/Bama backs, but Spencer Ware is a very close second to the point that the comparison is a wash. So, the question is: Is Eddie Lacy a bigger step down to a No. 2 then Ford/Blue is? I say, yes.

I haven't really had a chance to watch Lacy run that much. But I tend to agree that he's a much bigger step down after TR than what LSU has after Ware. The talent at RB for LSU is pretty consistent across the board.

Who's a bigger fool?

The fool? or the person that argues with one?

Please tell me that you aren't going to pull a Bamascott by trying to claim that Penn State has a good defense because it is currently ranked 4th statistically.

it was proven on the field a decade ago, if you only have one RB, you will have NONE by the end of the SEC schedule.

stop whining about stats. its a team game.

Damn Funky Tide has more false exits in this thread than an episode of Columbo.

I'm out BTW. Peace.
