This man got a half day to celebrate his historic team... I know this isn’t a first, but does anyone know recent history of title teams (or just any program that wasn’t cleaning house because dumpster fire) that replaced both OC/DC in the same year & how those teams fared historically?

Pretty sure Bama has done this at least once + rebounded like nothing happened.

Seriously? I’m pretty certain he earned his entire contract this season alone.

This is an area where I have a lot of faith in Coach O. I think he will get tremendous support from Scott Woodward on this search also. I’m honestly not worried about offense one bit. I think one of the bigger “crimes” from this season has been how little credit Ensminger got for the offensive production. We will be fine on both sides of the ball. O and Woodward will make a world class hire for DC.

He’s gonna be earning it?

He literally just fielded the greatest team of all time and completed the greatest season of all time while winning a national title and heisman.

I do too. Just pointing out how brutal trying to sustain success as a CFB HC can be. I’m not worried, but I’m sure CEO has had an energy drink today + we’re not even a week out from him winning the natty.

To be fair, his contract is going to look a whole lot different next year.

I’m proud that Ed and the Athletic Department kept ALL of this under wraps and wouldn’t let the media destroy preps for the NCG. This, in itself is so much better than the past.

Probably had a half a case of Monster already down the hatch before his midday run with Ray Baker

I get what you're saying though. But that's where having such a high energy guy like Coach O pays dividends. Coaches will be ready to fill these positions after seeing what LSU is capable of.

Need to do our best to retain Munoz, Raymond and Busch. I have my doubts about Busch but I'm hopeful.

O is a great recruiter and a great salesman. That works well on potential coach hires too, if the allure of LSU alone wasn't enough.

Some of yall are just stupid. The guy was simply saying O has his work cut out for him.

That doesnt mean he thinks O has done a shitty job and needs to step it up.

Jesus christ to you...

Agreed.

He will also deserve the added pressure to continue to produce those type of results that earned that type of new deal.

Agreed?

I am 100% onboard with this. Ensminger can call some plays and dudes are selling him short.. he has had zero experience with what Sean Payton and the modern saints offense.. he has seen it he has learned it. He is very smart and seasoned he has learned and this train ain't stopping. Just need him to keep plugging away another few years if he can. Now add another cog to this machine need 2 guys. 1. find a young sharp guy that maybe can replace coach E and 2. find a offensive mind that can put a spin on what we already have learned from Brady's hire

He has until spring practice to find a replacement.
I believe he will be successful in finding competent replacements.

I do feel for him. He really didn't have a chance to let it all sink in before he basically had to go into crisis mode. I assume that he knew of Brady's and Aranda's plans before the news dropped.

For what it's worth, which isn't much I'm sure, several members of the media seem to think we're in big trouble.
