Crews enters new chapter, but he's keeping an old mindset

“Super excited, super excited, ready to get going here,” Crews said Sunday morning. “I feel like I belong in this locker room right now. [I am] ready to get going with these guys and get acclimated with them.”

Several good videos in the link.

I cannot wait to see him in DC.

I'm going to a game in April, there's NO chance he's up there by then, right???

Think I'll wear my LSU Crews jersey anyway.

There’s a high probability that he’ll be up by then. I think that is what he is referring to. In the short stint last year that the minor league level of ball was arguably less competitive than what he was used to. He’s ready.

I'm not as optimistic as you, I think it's gonna be like June before they bring him up.

But man I hope you're right!

He hit .208 in AA with a .595 OPS. He's going to be a super star, but he's not going to be with the team in April and will take some time to adjust, just like 99% of the other high draft draft picks in the history of the sport.

Yeah honestly I don’t see him being called up this year until rosters expand. Wyatt Langford on the other hand might be starting in the outfield for the rangers by the all star break

I think the kid is going to be great, but there is no way that he is called up by April. Hell opening day is basically April (March 28).

There is a 0.0 chance he's up by then without a ton of injuries, and that's not a knock against DC3. That's not how this works.

That's just not true. He'll much more than likely start in AA or maybe AAA, but if he hits .500 in Spring Training against big league pitching in a substantial number of at-bats, he'll be in their Opening Day lineup. Again, it's very unlikely, but it's possible he hits his way into their Opening Day big league lineup. It's a small percentage change, but it's not 0.
