I don't know, but she's a great candidate for NIL. I once read WNBA players make about 100k on average?

Women's college basketball doesn't normally lose players early. I would not think that changes here. It is a pretty sure thing for the women to be here for the full four years.

Angel is in her 3rd year of college eligibility. She can play the rest of this season, then the next 2 full seasons if she desires.

I believe I heard that her intention is to play this year and next, then go pro. That could all change, of course.

Before Covid, it was almost unheard of for a women's player to go pro early. Since Covid, having players not take their 5th year (Covid year) and turn pro is not that uncommon.

Reading up on things you have to graduate from a 4-year school (or be 4 years removed from high school) AND be at least 22 years old to qualify for the WNBA draft, so we should have her for another season.

Honestly a smart move by the WNBA considering how low the pay is there. Make sure all the U.S. players have a degree typically before entering. The rookie contracts are abysmal. #1 overall pick from last draft is making $72k this year.

I'm perfectly fine with her only staying 1 more year. Next year the team should be even more talented than this year.

Probably not. A lot of WNBA 1st round picks don’t even make the team.

And they’re subsidized by the NBA.

No so sure a womens college bball player has much NIL value tbh

That has nothing to do with how good she is but just reality. There’s a reason the most profitable female athletes look like Livvy Dunne

I believe she already has a deal with Cane's along with Alexis Morris...saw them both on their electronic sign the other day.

Unless the economics of pro WBB changes, Reese can make more money at NILSU. I'd count on her for 2 more seasons.

She redshirted her first year at Tennessee, still was there for 4 years and earned her degree before being eligible for the draft. She had 1 more year of eligibility if she wanted it due to the redshirt her first year but she got there fall of 2004 and graduated in spring 2008.

This wasnt a 3 and done situation for her as thats not allowed by the WNBA. Have to be 4 years removed from high school minimum and 22+ years old.

When you consider the first round WNBA pick is making $72k this year, yeah, it wouldnt be the biggest NIL package put together to entice her to stay. No I'm not saying she needs $200k of NIL after next season to be enticed to stay...but if the womens team makes a serious run this year then maybe wins it all next year. Seems like a no brainer for Mulkey to work with some NIL partners to get her paid up to around what she would make as a WNBA rookie even as a #1 overall pick to entice her to stay here 1 more year because the team will continue to only get better each year under Mulkey.
