has lead to poor QB play by both QBs. I've never seen young QBs be put in more 3rd and 5+ than this year. You'd think that our coaches don't think we can get a 1st down unless it is 3rd and long.

Use these excuses for Lee too. Don't just blame Lee and act like he should be able to overcome these things, but then use them as excuses for JJ>

Great post.

Lee was 4-12 with 1INT and could've easily had another pick6. Lee has stone for legs which makes it easier for the defense to contain.

all frickin season, have Lee ever ran for positive yards?

Did you see how close he came to getting one though? Same play that's haunted Lee too. Over the middle into a zone D. STOP CALLING THAT FING PLAY CROWTON!!!!!

At least jefferson didn't throw any picks for scores and the one pick JJ threw should hav been caught unlike most if not all of Lee's. JJ is also smart enough to take a sack or throw it away.

It does when you know we had to be a throw first team with a brand new QB who rarely dropped back all year.

Now you are just pulling cliche reasons out of your arse.

We had 3 fewer rushing attempts in the game than passing attempts. We did NOT become a pass first team any more than normal.

And the experience argument is moot here. Either he is better than Lee, or he isn't. QB play is bad across the board because of lack of experience, but that isn't relevant as far as deciding who starts.

I was actually very disappointed in the play calling in the second half.

In all honestly, if JJ would have been playing this whole time, he would be much better than Lee at this time. JJ played on a high all game and he threw the ball all he had the entire game. Coaching and taking snaps in games help this.

I Lee had thrown that pass the stadium would have booed him. It was not a good throw.

LEE is 2nd in the nation in INT's and he wasnt even the full-time starter for the entire season. Any QB that steps out on the field have a good chance of being better than him. its bad enough that he has accuracy problems, he cant run either.

4-12 and how many 3 and outs did LSU had to start the game??

that was a fricking horrible pass. High and behind Toliver, and he was like 5 yards away.

You idiots BOOED Jarrett Lee last week at least 3 times for throwing it away.

PEOPLE frickING BOOED HIM!!!!!

BTW, this was LSU's first game they did not get 100 yards rushing. That has a little bit to do with it.

That was the game breaker there.

I blame the offensive playcalling, OL, and RB performance far more than I blame QB play.

In all fairness too...Lee has had several starts and a majority of the snaps with the first squad under his belt. JJ saw his first glimpse of significant playing time today...I'm pretty sure if the roles were reversed, people would've been highly critical of JJ as well. Fact of the matter is that both QBs have a long way to go.

He didn't look scared out of his mind like Lee tends to do.
