Those stats just killed his narrative

Not taking sides but how many opportunities has Bianco
had to improve vs Hughes.
Broussard and Hughes have a history. I doubt they will suddenly start leading the team in hits.

Broussard’s history is questionable. He has some very good stretches in college and then a couple bad stretches (one because of injury)

For all we know this entire slump could have been the injury and then just him never getting his swing back until now. Apparently Caleb Gilbert is having to completely relearn how to pitch. Obviously hitting and pitching are very different mechanics but I think you get what I’m saying.

I think if Broussard as a different situation considering he was batting close to .400 and had the highest average on the team before his injury. I think Bianco will end up a better hitter than Hughes and yes Hughes has had a full year more of opportunities than Bianco and has had more ABs this year as well

We're at a point right now where we can't afford to put guys in and hope they learn. We have to put our best 9 out there now and if a decision comes down to Bianco or Hughes, I'm taking Hughes right now.

Garza

He has been the biggest disappointment this season and it is not even close.

Watching him during the fall and spring scrimmages, I thought it was a given that he'd lead the team in homers.

Well he got 1. The lead is what? 7? 8? It’s still definitely possible. At this point I would say it will be Cabrera and then Beloso but anything is possible.

The fact he hasn’t been able to catch and has been recovering from an end Nauru is probably effecting Garza more than people realize. It’s not easy being a DH. If you have a bad at bat as a position player, especially catcher, you have no choice but to forget and get your mind refocused. As a DH you don’t have anything but to think about it until you go up again. Sometimes thinking is the worst thing you can do when you aren’t hitting well.

He’s just got to prove he can hit from the spot now. Been good defensively at catcher last 2 nights. Even threw out a baserunner!

I'm sure it hasn't been easy coming back from injury while trying to impress your new coach, but the dude was CRUSHING the ball in the scrimmages. I hadn't heard a bat make that kind of sound since Deichmann.

Yea but if he gets out in scrimmages there isn’t reason to get mad at himself, go back to the dugout and lament, or overthink his next approach. Just a completely different environment

I understand that, but it doesn't make him any less of a disappointment this season.

His bat not being what it was supposed to be in the middle of the order has created a chain reaction that has greatly hampered the lineup.

Terrible batting mechanics. Also not in physical shape.
He does have an awkward swing! Seems extremely stiff and robotic.

Bianco has no business on a college baseball field.

You guys have any business calling yourself fans. Why would you call out the 18 and 19 year old kids that represent the team you say you love?
You are just a bunch of little dicks.

Wasn’t Bianco a 250 hitter in high school ball. If that is the case, it explains why he is struggling so much with college pitching. He literally couldn’t handle the pitching at the level before this.
