quote:+1 But it is also Miles and JJ and a perception that JJ is young. How young is he - 19? How young is JL? How young is RS? Why is "young" ok reason for JJ to be almost totally ineffective as a soph QB but Miami and other teams have "young" QBs and other skill players and they do great? It has to be more than just the "youngness" of the athlete. I say it's a near-total lack of coaching comprehension and adjusting schemes to fit the player.
It is Crowton.

One last thing, this "looking to the sideline" is also killing this team. More than a few times, their late calling in plays. On 1 crucial series in the 3rd Q, it cost us 5 yds. Yes, T-bob got the penalty, but that was on the coaches.
I agree that it is definitely causing some problems. However, I think it shows that the coaches do not trust the QB or the center to read the defense and call the blocking assignments correctly.

It's a shame about JJ, but not much we can do about it now. I don't see him improving, and I don't think Lee is the answer. May as well try Sheppard. He can't be much worse than JJ. We'll be lucky to go 7-5 if we stand pat.

I disagree with your entire post, so I'll just leave it at that.
