You can join the Coaches Committee, too. It's not that exclusive of a club. After all, they let me join.

Just bring your checkbook.....

If I coached a rival, let's say UF or even Ole Miss, I would definitely have my players take a victory lap next year to see how classy teh fans are.

I'll pass......Not that this reflects in any way negatively towards you (although guilty by association but I digress) but I have talked with some of these entitled bitches as well.

Back in 01 in New Orleans one of these old dudes argued with my Dad that Mestepey should have started Game 3 in spite of him pitching 10 innings in Game 1. His argument was that Mestepey was young and had a strong arm. He said that Skip was getting too old to coach in this conversation as well which was quite poignant considering he had already said he was retiring .......the warm sweet oxygen that guy was getting was definitely wasted on him that night.

I've never said the Coaches Committee has an IQ requirement.

Being a night owl with no responsibilities on a Friday has its advantages

And I am disappointed, although not shocked, that this thread turned into a pissing match/flame-out. Shoulda known that the Rant, in general, couldn't have a decent discussion about a good piece of writing that reflected favorably on LSU.

Guys I'm really thinking the fans can take the classy title next year. I hope every opposing team takes a lap to high five the fans, win or lose

You know, Doc, there's something important getting lost in all this. Something all the General Patton-wannabees on this board wouldn't want you to know, because it doesn't help their argument any.

After congratulating Stony Brook on their win, a large number of LSU fans made a beeline toward the LSU clubhouse exit under the stands. Most of them hung around until every player had come out to get autographs, take pictures, congratulate them on a great season, and thank them. Those players felt the love, I can promise you.

Not everything in life is all-or-nothing...a fact that gets lost on this board all too often.

Thats good to know.

I really would love to see whoever beats lsu next year at home (hope no one does) take a victory lap. In a regular season game. fans would get so mad. The rant would have 15 threads about how Florida took a victory lap in may

think the victory lap was sort of a "hey look at me!" moment for LSU baseball fans but if that's what gets some people's rocks off that's fine.

your condescending tone makes me realize you really are one of those entitled pricks that is probably pushing 50 (if not older) who thinks they are the greatest LSU fan ever because they pay to eat a shitty catered meal and hear Will Davis talk for 3 minutes.

I was fortunate to have coached youth sports for many years and i used a two pearls of wisdom when we lost that I learned from my Father...."Over a billion chinese will wake up tomorrow and won't even know you played and (my favorite)"Don't get mad, get better". Let's get better.

I am younger than you and i have certainly made more games than you this year and every other year for the past 10 years. Does that make me more of a fan than you?!?!
