It’s an intuitive assumption. Use your brain and common sense. It’s pretty obvious this is a pivotal hire and you have one side with Skip, another side with Mainieri and finally other forces that want LSU to make a reset and pivot from the legacy hires. Bianco should be announced by tomorrow or Friday. We would start to hear reports from The Advocate, and D1.

So you think Vandy doesn't expect to win in baseball? Where do some of you people come from?

Their program is in the same department with recreational sports. There are little expectations. It’s an academic centric school. Where do I come from? The real world

If Woodward could pull Kim Mulkey and Corbin, Wow just wow. Hope he is trying.

Exactly, so you have nothing. You are just spouting off nonsense, hoping to sound intelligent.

You don't think Vandy is pouring a ton of resources into baseball?

Poor thing.

So it's now group think if you don't buy into what some idiot on tigerdroppings randomly says, without a single thing to back up his bold claim?

Hey, Corbin is 59 a great coach but as a psychopathic fan, I don't want to do this again in 6 years.

Please Sweet Baby Jesus let it be Vitello.

you came after me initially because my perspective is different than yours and you went as far as calling it nonsense. That’s called group think.

Because of the endowment’s guidance, dumbass. Those resources are committed whether Vandy has a baseball team or not, dumbass

I asked you to provide one shred of evidence to back your claim. When you answered saying to "use my brain," (and not providing a single shred of evidence like I expected) that's when I called you out for posting nonsense.

But hey, with all the other stuff you made up, why not just make up a little more right?

A&M landed their coach (and a pretty big name, too) fairly quickly.

Our season is over, so no more delays to "avoid distractions" or whatever on this end. I didn't think it made much difference with Mainieri having already announced his retirement, but some folks did. Either way, that's no longer an issue.

We are assuming there was a target already decided on. That would be the rational thing to think, since the retirement was announced. Shouldn't be long negotiations... we're a top-tier job and as such, are expected to pay that way.

To me, it would seem like the only reason to wait at this point, is if the target is still coaching this season.

Ok. So explain to me why Harvard isn't dominant in baseball, but Vandy is.

A&M's season also ended long before LSU's did.

A&M's season also ended long before LSU's did.
A&M announced they would let their coach go May 23rd.
Paul announced he would retire May 28.

So both schools knew they would need a new HC before June 1st. They hired Jim Schlossnagle June 9, 3 days after TCU lost in the regional they hosted. It wasn't a matter of when A&M's season ended, it was a matter of when their new coach's season ended.

We're at about the same timeframe, if it's someone who went to a Super Regional and lost.

Sure, but a&m had to feel a bit of pressure knowing that LSU was also going to be hiring. That may have forced then to act faster than they planned on. Or maybe they had their guy and just went hard after him from the get go. I think it's pretty clear, if you believe the reports, that we don't have a clear cut guy. Unless what you are seeing right now is us moving down the list if guys.
