Does this series win give us a much better chance at a regional

I have to believe that this big series win will increase our chances drastically if we go .500 the remainder of the season. Hmmmm

We have to sweep Bama and take 2 of 3 at auburn and that will probably get us a host. It’s possible

Why are there DUMBASS downvotes? WTF Negatigers about what?
Yes, clearly improves our chances but still have work to do. At a minimum, we need to go 3-3 for the remaining 6 SEC games. If we go 4-2, and win a couple of games in the SEC tourney, LSU is playing post season.

Dont think we should be worried about hosting at this point, itll take quite the run of the gauntlet to do that, and we have proven we can win on the road yet

Huge hill to climb for starters. Even if LSU kicks in the overdrive and achieves what you posted, NOT hosting.

They need 16 conference wins to ensure going to a regional. 15 and a couple of wins in Hoover should do it too.

Ever since the ole miss loss I’ve been hearing the magic win number to host is 17 with a couple tourney wins. I’m no expert though, just what I’ve heard. Regardless, they absolutely need to sweep this horrible Bama team
The 4 teams that are ahead of/tied with LSU in the west (Arkansas, ole miss, A&M, auburn) all play eachother this week while lsu plays the worst team in the league in Bama. This is where they have to make their move

I don't see this team hosting, not enough good series wins
Series win over Texas and Ark
Other than that they won series against Mizzou and Tenn - two worst teams in the east, did not have to play UGA or Fla this year

It often comes down to numbers. How many host sites will the NCAA committee assign to SEC schools and how many SEC teams are a lock to host now.
LSU will have to force committee eyes to notice them if they're to have any chance of hosting.
I don't think we host this year but as long as there are games to be played there is an opportunity to make an impression.

Correct. The committee looks at conference tourney wins just like regular season conference wins.

Past selected regional teams have usually needed 15-16 SEC wins... after Ark we have 12 so we need to sweep Ala. and win 1 of 3 against Auburn at home....
Or win 2 0f 3 of each SEC series
