Big time!
When my kids came, LSU sports and other activities took a major hit.
Good luck to you, your wife, and the new-to-be LSU fan.

Not crazy, just a die hard. Once the little one gets here, they have a way of making all things rotate around them..... Lol. they become the center that your world revolves around, for like the next 18-20 years!!! Some of it because you want to, and some of it because you have to!! But, its all worth it...

No, it's harder for men to relate as much to childbirth, especially the first. We don't carry the baby around the whole time.

Trust me when I tell you as a father, you will never ever love anything more than your child. Period.
We all love LSU, but it is not our lives. Our families are.
Good luck to you and your wife and get back to us after you hold that child in your arms for the first time.

you have no idea. and the real sad news is that your wife's priorities are really going to take a 180. you are going from big stud to second class citizen.
Unless you have a dog. Then, third class.

Thank you all for all of the nice comments. I will conclude that I am just a diehard LSU fan whose life is about to change for the better. Atleast we will be adding one more to the tiger family! Every member counts!!

Mine was due to the day of the Oregon game. I was dreading the possibility of missing that game for 9 months. Luckily he was born on Aug. 30, but I can tell you I didn't know football existed during that experience. They definitely take priority of football, but the good news for me was I can handle the losses much better. After the NC and the Saints playoff loss I just picked up the little man and it wasn't so bad anymore.

I wonder what happened to the guy who was coming over from Florida for the BCSNCG.............and leaving behind his wife who was due any day.............this board was giving him lots of grief over his decision.

My first was born a few days before the 2010 Bama game. I can tell you that I have never been so quiet during an LSU football game as I was during that one, with my son sleeping on my chest.
We won that game too so it made it that much more enjoyable.

Cool. Amazing how they change your perspective isn't it? My point is, until you go through the experience, there is no way to discribe the feeling of being a father. There just aren't the words.

Found out last February that we were having our first child. Due date was Oct 13. I figured good, I can make the Florida game and Tenn is away so I will not miss any games.
Yeah Right.
Kid came on Sept 30 at 8pm. The Kentucky game was the first game I missed 10 years. Watched it in the hospital. Wife let me go to Florida but we missed W Kentucky. The night games are hard with a newborn.
Being the good Tiger fan I am we took her to her first tailgate for Auburn (thats right 3 weeks old) she was rock solid.
Football took a back seat though.
You hear it all the time but as soon as you see that baby everything you thought was important is not so important anymore.

So my wife is pregnant with our first child and is due in July. Everytime I think about wanting the next few months to go by fast I am more focused on the first weekend in September than July! I have a feeling my priorities are about to be shook up!
I hope something happens for you that was similar to what happened to me that will change your perspective.
You are a crazy diehard.
Your priorities aren't where they need to be.
Your kid will change that.

My wife gave birth to our first child six weeks ago, the day after the SEC Championship.
You have no idea how much life is about to change for you. My best advice to you: get as much sleep as you can because the days of sleeping in and getting a full 8 hrs are about to go bye bye for you. And lose the concept of being selfish because that goes out the window as well.

Based on you avatar snd sig pics is seems you are a Toonces hater as well. Thing is, the kid will get a shite ton of Toonces gear for the shower. Don't sweat it, Toonces is acceptable (only barely) for infants and toddlers so don't go burning that shite. Slowly aquire non-Toonces gear for then to grow into. Good luck with the new kiddo!
