they had plenty of stops the other day, in fact, outside of the big plays, they were consistently stopping them.
Yes you are correct, when USC put a RB in at QB we did a great job at stopping them.

I don't think so. We deal with some pretty brutal heat and humidity in early September and we are well conditioned.
However, with our new coaches and new WCO, we are terrible. Oline is getting beat regularly. Defense is solid against the run, but we have difficulty pressuring the QB and are giving up a lot of passing yards.

quote:literally two plays was the difference between 253 yards and 19 points and what they finished with (395 yards 33 points). And the only reason they got those is because of one guy not being in his gap. When you sell out to stop the run, you do not have safeties back there to limit the big run. One wrong thing by one player caused those big runs. In this game we had 6 players on defense starting in new spots, of course we were going to have some problems.
It's obvious that LSU defense, although improved, can't stop a nose bleed. We are susceptible to explosive plays because our open field tackling is worse than dog shite.
Offensively you have a worse version of South Carolina, at UCLA. Garbers is no big sized QB. He will go down. I know many of you will bring up Nicholls, but that game is irrelevant to anything else going on. So many other factors in that game.
I expect a blowout similar to the Auburn game last year.

While I agree that we will win, that’s not what I’m looking for. I want to see an effective offense and defense and special teams. This is game 4, the simple stupid mistakes need to be gone by now.

Nicholls covered 24 vs LSU. just saying

It could be next week vs South Alabama too.
For this team to have a realistic chance vs Ole Miss we really need to show up and have a complete performance, at least one of the next two games.
