ignore the smart asses, welcome to TD. My personal opinion is size makes some difference, but talent makes more. An undersized highly talented team could beat the socks off of mediocre hulks. Problem for appy is, LSU is both large and talented. I also think depth will be a factor, and if you guys manage stay close, we pull away in the 4th.

I agree. I think size matters, but talent and speed sometimes mean more. You could be 300 lbs, but if you can't tackle or run, what good are you?

Average weight
LSU O-Line 299lbs (6 players) ASU D-Line 241lbs (5 players)
LSU +58lb difference
ASU O-Line 275lbs (4 players) LSU D-Line 282lbs (4 players)
LSU +7lb difference
Maybe already posted...but why do we have 6 starting OLinemen (there's only 5) and ASU have 5 starting DLinemen (you run a 4-3 right?) on top of only 4 OLinemen (pretty sure every offense has 5)?

The reason why these guys are playing IA football (specifically for us) is because not only can they carry extra weight over IAA players, but they can be just as fast/quick.

Ok how about this:
LSU O line average 299 Troy D line 258
Troy O line 298 LSU D line 282
Will the 16 pounds make a difference?

I never said LSU players didn't have speed. The way I have taken a couple of comments is that size is the only thing that matters and it's not...

It will when our Dline is running circles around your line

Man!!!!
A Rice fan offering a comment on football at App...Ouch!
An bipolar idiot from Boston who you could see the spit coming out of his mouth while he was typing. (What a loser)
A bunch of solid LSU fans who get it.
Listen folks, we've been to Tiger Stadium before and the Big House. I've been to both. No comparison in noise or passion (or drunkeness) We've endured the heat. We know we are outmanned. We play football and we've got heart and we have confidence. Here's the deal. On any given day just about anyone can beat anyone (except Rice or Tulane) An App win is possible not probable.
Armanti Edwards He is a special athlete and he will be as savy as anyone on the field and with all due respect he is a better QB that either of LSU's choices.
I can't wait to attend the game.
And one more thing ...Boston Boy...

The difference between the two first times shouldn't be all that different. The difference between the two schools is in depth stemming from the more scholarships we can offer.

I was asking a honest question. But don't ever make the mistake of thinking Troy is Slow.

Have you heard anything about Edwards busting up his knee? Someone here earlier was trying to say something to that effect.

Part of the statement was just proven...(the idiot part)
And just to throw it out, I haven't heard anything about AE and his knee. There was a thread that was created on here a little bit ago, can't find it now about that. They haven't said anything on goasu.com and I think they would definitely post it there...

the good thing is I only have to play Troy on X-Box...the players take care of the real life game, I trust they won't look past you.

One more thing dipshit, since you came on here to talk shite...he is a better athlete, I'll give you that. But to say he is better QB than Lee of JJ (whom I agree are inexperienced),proves to me what a delusional bunch of fans you are!!
Posted on 7/30/08 at 2:47 pm to Towelie
Hey me too on that one. But I will be ok with it if your guys overlook us a little bit.

Are you kidding me? So two kids who've never played in a college game, ever, are better than the two time D2 national champinship QB?
