Does Nuss still have a knee issue?

Again, I don’t buy the shite Brian Kelly said then.
quote:
LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier experienced a knee issue in August 2025, but it was a minor aggravation of chronic patellar tendinitis, not a serious injury. Coach Brian Kelly downplayed the severity, stating it was a 1.5 on a scale of 1-10 and that Nussmeier was throwing in practice and expected to be ready for the season opener against Clemson on August 30th. Misinformation about a torn ACL circulated on social media, but Kelly and Nussmeier clarified that the injury was minor and pre-existing, with no structural damage.

I believe whatever injuries he had are now minor. However, he has changed his mechanics to compensate for a knee and core injury. He really needs to get back to his mechanics, probably do some strength work, and study film. He has 2 weeks to get right. If he's not right in the 1st half against South Carolina, it's probably time to share some reps with Van Buren.
ETA: We still need to figure out a running scheme, better offensive line play, and more creative play calling. Otherwise, even a healthy and clicking Nuss will still be vulnerable. Nuss is only part of the problem.

He has a mental issue and lack of work ethic apparently.

No one knows what he has. We just know that his play has sucked.

There is definitely an interruption in the time/space continuum and, while it obviously affects the OL to the greatest extent of all, it next reverberates to mostly Nuss.
This is logic…
