When Cam was the OC with the Chargers, even with Tomlinson, his offense was more balanced than what we see.

did he have 2 QBs with a total of 5 starts on that team?

All I know is, we kept hearing before the season that the tight ends would become more involved in the offense.
Well that first drive after the long halfback pass when we got down to the 7 yard line (and then the 2 on a penalty) would have been the PERFECT time to throw to a TE.

But no, let's go up the middle 4 straight times against their strength. Just like in '12 against Bama when we try to go wildcat up the middle with Ware on 4th and inches, when everybody in the galaxy knew it.

7-7 against State there and it MAY have been a different ball game.

How exactly does a coach make the decision to run a trick play to get within the shadow of the opponents's goal line, then, try to pound a stone stump rock right up the middle against 8 other stone stump rocks ????

Oh, it is incredibly silly, and should be unnecessary, but people lose their mind regarding Miles for issues that are expected, known, and pretty damn easy to understand.

He makes mistakes, sure, and there are some very valid issues, rarely are they the issues that are expressed.

Yup.
Miles kept calling the same thing ..."O-line don't block the guy in front of you" play four times in a row.

Damn Miles dumb.

miles has the play sheet in his hands

I don't think that's a play sheet in his hands. Its a blank piece of paper he uses to cover his mouth while saying "Isolation Toss...to the Right."

Agreed 100%. Told my brother the same thing today. Always the players fault here it seems.

Miles can't make Jennings pitch to a 225 lbs rb.

here is the problem with people like you. If we win it's because the players. we lose, it's because miles. In fact the majority of the people who like Les agree that he should get credit for every win and every loss. But for some reason it is actually the haters that give credit every where else yet blame on one.

Imagine that.

Yet not one person has talked about the problem with the Air Coryell offense in the redzone as it pertains to mid and deep route development as a major component of the playbook.

Its like people think we have infinity plays that are practiced and ready for game day.

The offensive scheme run by Coryell, Turner, Cameron has always had trouble in the redzone. We should be able to pound it in from there...shite happens some times.

It is a very sound, QB friendly scheme that favors taking controlled chances, like quicker midrange post passes to WRs off play action rather than slower developing passes that leave QBs exposed. It is almost exclusively run out of the pro set. Turner favors a more limited palette of plays than Coryell and most other Coryell disciples, instead insisting on precise execution. His offenses are usually towards the top of the league standings, but are often labeled predictable.

This on Turner, who ran Coryells system, which is now ran by Cam.

One thing about Coryell's offense was he was doing this when they limited contact on receivers. the first option in the pass progression was always the deepest. Sounds eerily familiar with Mett last year and now Jennings.

Then again Miles calls the plays and the offenses have looked exactly the same every year, according to the nut jobs on here.

On the off tackle plays in the redzone, the tackle doubled down on the 3 tech., leaving the tight end alone on the 5 tech. On both plays, the TE was driven into the backfield. We run two tights for extra blocking and none of them are really good at it.
