There is no just giving him extra time as an OC. 3 seconds as a QB is all you should be expecting... no one was close to being open in this amount of time.. check the replay. WRs and the back.

After a few seconds had passed and the LBs saw JJ running out of options, that's when they rushed up and put extra pressure on him.

The linebackers were spying the QB the entire time.

Yes but there are plays that "give" him more time to make a decision. If there's not giving, then why the shotgun? Why the rollouts?

Just because receivers didn't get open doesn't mean it was a bad play call and just because a play doesn't work out doesn't mean it was a bad play initially. Florida also called a perfect defense for that play as well. Just face it, we were not going to get that first down regardless of what play we called. Florida knew what we would run regardless of what formation we lined up in, hence the reason why there were spies on JJ like you said. I never said they weren't spying either. I said that they only rushed 3, which they did, and when JJ started to tuck and run the LBs ran up and did their job, AFTER the initial rush.

All I can say is that we agree to disagree. If the situation had been reversed and we'd run Scott up the middle and not gotten it, everyone would be complaining about "why didn't we try and throw for it?". So either way, you're disappointed and that's fine, so am I. But oh well. We lost the game and the 4th down and that's that. We can argue until we're blue in the face but it won't change the outcome.

Now this is funny. First everyone complaining about Miles apparently taking control of the offense, and now calling for Miles to take control of the offense.

Some of you are bullheaded and do not want to face the reality. Crowton has almost free regin over the offense. It is Crowton's product that is not moving the ball, and Crwoton's training of Jarrett Lee and JJ that have them ill-prepared.

In the future, we should run the Florida offense. Put 2 running backs in the backfield and run that little draw option up the middle. Use trindon holliday like Florida uses Demps. You can also use russell shepard in that formation.

Anyone else agree? Can our O-line hold blocks long enough to do something like this?

Either way we need to scrap that outside option. Jefferson doesn't look comfortable running it.

That play call was an excellent choice in that situation because of how the game had gone up until that point and had JJ executed correctly and used his brain, we could've made the first down.

Why not bring in RS and run the option? Has he been stopped for less than 5 yards yet this year?

The option is not designed for one defender to be able to cover and shut down. Im tired of watching JJ try to run the option when its obvious he cant.
