Miles won't be appreciated by a lot of Tiger fans until he is gone. I know this team is not prfect, but they are very capable of winning the NC. So is Bama, Florida, Oregon and K. State.

can you not read? seriously? I posted this above and you still do not get it. you think it is just about passing and not SELECTION OF PASSES????? Did you not see the faggies squatting on all those comebacks and slants? Did you not hear BRIAN GRIESE criticize miles trying to pass in max protect two WR routes so much and how predictable it was????
quit whining. We won. You should be happy.

So will you be saying the same thing in two weeks?

Well, imo someone with big influence should sit him down and convince him to come to the realization his offense just ain't cutting it.

What is our record during the time?
And our record could've been easily better and our trophy case stocked fuller had our O performed as well as our D.
Is that really expecting too much?

Miles is like a fuel efficient car with regards to winning games.
Fuel efficient cars are ugly, have less features. They are made for just one purpose. The buyers know that it is not as sleek as some cars and not powerful as some others but it meets the single criteria of fuel efficiency.
If the administration decides that it wants a powerful car as well , maybe he might make those changes and or they might decide to make the bigger change to buy a car that satisfies both criteria.

I don't think Les's approach to O is efficient at all; quite the contrary. And he would get even greater "fuel efficieny" if our our O was as functional as our D, i.e., win more games (that goes in the 'good' bin).

Perhaps my comparison was ambiguous. Les equates winning as the criteria , similar to how buyers equate fuel efficiency as the criteria. He meets a certain criteria set by the administration and going by his record I am sure he has more than met it every year and in sum total as well.
That is why I mentioned unless if the administration steps in ( and I don't see that happening) and says that they want to see a better Offense , WYSIWYG.
When would the administration step in ? When the money is affected.
When does that happen? When merchandising, tv revenue, ticket sales, game day sales drop.
When THAT happens ,you can bet your bottom dollar they would have a talk with him.

Don't expect any changes, it's been like this for years. Just hope they have a "good day" at the right times like they did vs S. Carolina. Its been like this for the past 5 years or so
This is why Miles is not a elite head coach, although he is paid an elite coach salary. A elite HC like Saban does not put up with inferior coaching and performance. Changes are made to demand and achieve desire results.

Is your definition of elite predicated on winning or on style of winning? Because if you are going by the standard definition which is win percentage , you will find that 80%+, SEC titles, NC, is good enough to be elite especially over a 8 year period.
Just out of curiosity, can you mention the other set of elite coaches who are doing everything that your ideal coach can and should whilst meeting the requisite win percentage / titles in a major BCS conference?
Perhaps LSU can poach them since they are willing to pay top money for a coach.

Would/could he hire an under 30 wunderkind to work the offense?
no. we run a pro type offense and the pros select a lot of our players. i, for one, would not endorse a twenty something coming in here and fricking the team up. i haven't seen a "wunderkind" win a national championship yet. they need to coach in the big 12 where 100 pts are scored almost every week.
