Are you, though? Careful what you wish for.

Although, since LSU is a public university, aren’t all our records already subject to FOIA. Is there anything protected that FOIA doesn’t cover that a subpoena for discovery by the SEC could unearth?

Yes, and if they do they would be kicked out of the SEC.

Wonder how Sankey is liking that cold cup of gumbo this morning. Maybe he has a case of the Louisiana shits

SEC has intentionally tried to damage the LSU Brand (imo), and has in fact damaged the LSU Brand from a national perspective

It’s not just the SEC, but many media outlets as well. Especially ESPN

Lane has LSU as ALL the talk in college football since last November.
And he is not even on social media any longer. Nor have we even played a game.

Possibly. But it would be difficult to measure/prove damages. The players on the other hand have clearly been harmed, and I hope they file a class action.

I wouldn’t have thought so until yesterday when they filed suit against us. Now I feel like it’s a completely reasonable thing to do. And if the SEC is signaling they’re going to do this with lawfare, I think we are completely within bounds to file several lawsuits, seeking tremendous damages.

Yesterday’s hearing was one thing, but I got a special kind of pissed off when they filed that fricking suit in the middle of Sankey being up on the stand. That was really low down, and honestly completely changed the way I felt about this whole thing.

I’m out for blood.

It is why I feel the way I do, as well. If I thought LSU was in the wrong, I'd say just back off let it blow over. There are times though when you have to stand up, or you will get pushed aside.

Agreed, I think it could be mutually damaging if it got to that stage, just my opinion.

Also, not sure if posted but SEC offices trying to cover for the boss
