Whether someone else could win a championship here or not is irrelevant to whether or not I think Brian Kelly can win one. I 'm not comparing him to some hypothetical of "What if (insert coach) was here and what do you think his first three years would be like compared to Kelly's and then see who would be the better option is" hypothetical. What I can base my opinion off of is what I've seen from Kelly at ND and now here and it's that I don't think he is capable of winning a championship. Whether someone else that was available at the time could win one as well is irrelevant.
