Does lsu accept the nit invite this year?

So if we win just one of our three remaining games we'll have a "beak-even" record-- 16-16-- I'm in. That just seems so much better than another losing campaign.

quote:Not necessary. We could lose out the regular season (2 games), win the 1st game of SECT on Wednesday, lose next game on Thursday and finish 16-17. So mathematically win one of the next 3 and still have a losing season again.

I think we're going to fire McMahon regardless, save the very unlikely event (though not impossible) we win the SEC Tourney and make the NCAAs. Not sure if success in a NIT tourney will save him.
As for an NIT, I'm an LSU basketball fan and enjoy the competition, and at least an opportunity to win something of value. Moar hoops, please.

Why is Oklahoma ready to fire their coach
Because they have standards. In 5 seasons he’s only made one in NCAA tournament. He has a 36% conference winning % (including 3 years in the Big 12). It’s worse when limited to the SEC.

and LSU isn't?
Ask some of the knuckleheads who keep white knighting for McMahon.

They won't get one. There is a third tournament that might offer them. Forgot the name of it.
