Possibly 1. Not 2.

Eta: If we have an undefeated season headed by LF, he wins it. In my opinion the only way. Did AP even win one at OU? And he was fricking beastly.

When is the last time LSU really promoted a Heisman contender - Charles Alexander ?? If he played at ND he would have won in 1977. LSU has bad promoting skills.

LSU had a heisman finalist in 2011. This isnt the 80's, promoting players for the heisman isnt really a thing unless you're someone like Northern Illinois and have a Jordan Lynch.

Maybe not directly, but you got to get the media machine rolling. Pretty sure if Mathieu was just a good defensive player, he'd have gotten little/no love; but once he became the "Honey Badger" it was rolling.

hmmm; and that was a nickle back. If Fournette can produce AND somehow become a celeb, he'd have a great chance

I remember a half-assed effort for Dalton Hilliard back in '85. They put out posters promoting him saying "HeIstheMan".

He didn't finish in the top 10.

Not that it wouldn't be cool to see an LSU player win one in my lifetime... But yeah, the Heisman has been a joke for a while now.

It is not of Miles nature to allow such a thing. Jordan Jefferson was the only player He would allow to achieve such a thing, and that effort proved futile.

In Miles mind, perhaps he was. No one besides Miles and Jefferson's family agreed. It was the very definition of delusion.
