How were his teams at Arizona error wise? This team doesn’t even look like it belongs in the SEC. Jay has a long way to go

He needs to be fired immediately he just doesn’t have what it takes to get this team back to the top. He blows out the sisters of the poor but any team that has a pulse we shite the bed

Slow down, it’s the guys first year. I’m just curious what his Arizona teams looked like fielding wise compared to us now.

I will say this, those earrings I saw last night, do not scream discipline.

LSU baseball fans need to learn patience or the nearest liquor store.

Newsflash! This LSU team sucked last year and Jay Johnson inherited it. LSU won 3 SEC series last year. Now the same players are not very good and a pitching staff which stunk last year still stinks and Jay Johnson is at fault? Maineri’s recruiting in his last 2-3 years was poor and the team looks like it.
For example, tell me where you put a player like Bianco? His error in Left Field on Friday night was all on him. That was not a coaching mistake but individual poor play.
LSU’s Catchers are average at best. They are easy to steal on and their batting averages are weak. Our starting catcher is batting around 185 even after last night. The so-called “wild pitch” which went through the Catcher’s legs was in reality a passed ball and on the Catcher. That was pathetic and is not a coaching problem but individual poor play.
LSU is weak at Shortstop and Second Base. Their throws around the infield are consistently inaccurate. If you bench them who do you go to? There is a lack of talent and depth.
LSU’s Pitching Staff is an adventure to say the least. Inconsistent and unreliable just like last year and I doubt any SEC team is afraid of LSU’s staff.
These players are inherited and are just not talented enough to compete at the SEC level just like last year.
It is going to take Jay Johnson a year or two to recruit his way out of this situation which he did not create but inherited from CPM.

Compared to ATm our team looks sloppy, with long hair, beards and uniforms. Yes, they do look undisciplined.

Made a thread about it last night. I thought the same thing.

They read too many press clippings telling them how good they were. Pitching is beyond awful and no one, including Crews and Berry, can hit a breaking ball, slider, or change up. The fielding is the worst I've ever seen at LSU. How can guys that have been playing baseball since they were 7 or 8 years old not be able to throw the ball to first from third or shortstop? I hold my breath every time the ball is hit anywhere in the infield except first base.

THE SKY IS FALLING!!!!! What an idiot!!!

No matter what your Dixie Youth coach told you, there is zero correlation between fielding ground balls and wearing earrings or having long hair.

I can remember when LSU had great baseball teams. U are going to give the coach a break, he will get it done!

I'm talking about being disciplined. Team looks undisplined by the way they play and undisplined by the way they look.

We need a coach that will enforce Yankee Discipline. No beards. No earrings. No long hair. I’m tired of LSU players playing like crap and looking like crap.

They both rake off speed pitches. The ones they swing at in the zone, anyway. No one hits curveballs that start at the knees or sliders that start on the corner.

It was time for CPM to step down but last season the LSU Tiger baseball team finished in the top 16 and was 2 wins away from a CWS appearance, that is not a team that sucks.
All 3 of our major sports will be a total restart with new coaches and staff, they need a chance to develop the programs.
