I didn't ask where the band sat when buying my tickets and of course we are 4 rows behind the band.

You will likely have to stand on your seat... That's what we had to do in Georgia

I don't see why it would suck. You may have to stand most of the time, but you should probably do that anyway. Plus, you may get on tv

sat in a section just to the LSU band's right at a game... and we were just lateral to the golden girls.

far and away the most memorable time I have ever had at a football game - LSU won - clueless as to the opponent and the final score.

do they take up the whole section? are the tubas in the last row of 217. my wife is only 5'4" and I am worried about her seeing over the tubas if they are in the last row of 217 and we re in the 4th row of 231

I played tuba in tiger band, and generally they put the tubas down during gameplay. They do stand up though. If they leave the tubas up during plays, they are slacking and you should smack them and tell them to put them down.

Cheerleaders are way worse about blocking views than the GBFTL. Band members actually like football.

Best 3 football games I've ever been to. All 3 were wins. Sang the Alma Mater with the team after all 3.

I sat in the row directly behind the tubas for the 05 seccg and it was the worst seat I ever had. The tuba players were very courteous but they play on every single down when we have the ball. It was a miserable day all around.
And to top it off, 5 ugay students came into the section at the start of the 4th qtr and started yelling Katrina-Katrina-Katrina.

Last year at Auburn I was directly behind the band, ONE row back. We had to actually get one of the band directors to get the tubas to stand on the ground and not on the bleachers because the tubas were literally in our face.

Not complaining, but yes it was a problem for us. If you are a few rows back though you should be fine.

I enjoyed it last year at AU. Was awesome when we won. I felt bad for the Tiger fans everywhere else. You'll enjoy the seats. No big deal.

Just don't be behind the giant tuba player that's about 7 feet tall holding a tuba 2 feet higher.

I had the seats directly behind the band at Bama in '03. We had fun messing with the tuba players, but it did kinda suck as far as not being able to see when they were playing. At least you have 3 more rows of elevation than we did, but if you are short, I'd recommend you get some of these:

I know only the pep band is going, BUT GOD DAMMIT I wish The Whole GBFTL was goin to Ttown Sat. It's a big game and we need the band. But I still know that the pep band will be louder than the $1 dollar band ALL DAY LONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can't wait to sing the Alma Mater in an empty stadium.
