I'm wondering if they ever started. I didn't see much 'want' out there even from #7
I think this is the point, and it's not because of motivation, "losing the team", poor coaching or anything like that.

1st game of the season. Wisconsin is not some scrub team you can go work the kinks out against, and expect to blow out. Things happened that looked like typical 1st game issues; some new linemen looked lost out there. Guice fumbled trying to make a play on his first touch.

Also, new defensive scheme, team is going to feel it's way into it. Remember how porous Pelini's scheme seemed at first vs Arizona St, they eventually gelled.

All I'm saying is this: had we played a cupcake in Tiger Stadium with the same effort and mistakes, we still likely grind them down and win by 21+ points. And the classic axiom of "team improves most between game 1 and game 2".

We're not the type of team that can slaughter a quality opponent in the first game, away from home (see: Alabama). But there's still plenty of chance that we're going to become a lot better than we currently look.

Yep. Wait till he loses the players.

My nightmare? He keeps running Fournette into 8 man boxes and eventually gets him hurt.

As stubborn as Miles is, it's a real possibility.
