I know Ridley looks good, but since the ice was broken and Ford carried the ball, will he be more involved moving forward?

a couple of factors...is Murphy out for next week? If so, they may look at the rotation differently regarding the #2 back vs. the #3. Second, if he truly was in the doghouse for some sort of issue, is he out now.

K buddy. It was believed by some that he was being disciplined, and I was curious if finally getting on the field, even late, signified that he may play some moving forward.

why would they burn blues redshirt if they plan on running ford the rest of the season?

Valid question.

With the stable of backs here now and those coming, guess they aren't concerned with saving eligiblity. Hard to know.

Blue and Ware were on special teams anyway, so those shirts were already pretty much burned.

Ware is going to be outstanding as well, BTW.

Chief- I have my bandwagon card already. Picked it up last night.

And it was a legitimate question regarding his status with Miles. I really don't care which RB plays if they are producing.

But Ford's status was a hot topic last week so I thought I'd inquire.

idk if they arent going to play then why not rs them? It would be stupid not to. not to mention people said blue would be a lb and he was running the ball on the second series of the game. Ford is running 5th string rt now.

One thing I noticed after re-watching most of the plays was that Vandy defenders were in our backfield quite a bit through the first 3 quarters and we had a lot of runs for no gain. That was worrisome watching it again. 4th quarter was much better but I'm sure the Vandy defense was worn out by then. The few runs Ford had were pretty good. He gets his speed up QUICKLY. Like that!

We were also hit again with some of those short and slant passes in the 4th quarter that we didn't defend too well, but we saw vast improvement overall from our newest db's so props to them.

A number of the freshman backs are going to get some plays. The primary reason is to get some game experience to be ready for next year. But Ridley is getting the lion's share. ...as long as he hangs onto the ball.

Because they already burned it on special teams

2 more studs coming next year...not losing anything this year...saving redshirts is not a concern at the moment.

And I don't understand why. If Ford dropped off the face of the earth right now, LSU would still be in GREAT shape at running back, for this year and in the future. (I don't want him to drop off the face of the earth, I am just sayin')

People saw him run for a ton of yards in the goddamned SPRING GAME and are making way too much of it. He might be great some day, he might not...who knows. If the coaches wanted him running #1, then he would be running #1. He isn't though, and you people have to deal with it. I defer to the coaches, who see the guys practice every day.

I think Ford is 4th string and Ware is 5th

If Murphy wasn't a senior then Ford would be 3rd and Ware 4th....just my opinion
