but what if his return makes up that much better to the point we end up beating Florida and Bama simply because of what JJ was able to provide to the offense?
Been saying this for a while and it's quite unpopuar.

I'm not a fan of taking carries away from Ware or Ford. I'm also not a fan of taking throws away from Lee unless it's a trick play with Ware or Randle. So I see nothing positive in letting #9 play. We had to have him last year. This year we don't need him. Just leave it alone.

yup, Lee has earned his spot and deserves to continue leading this team full-time for the rest of the year.

The last drive in the first half of the Bama game last year, JJ had probably the best drive of the season. It was like the coaching staff just all of a a sudden lifting something off of his shoulders and from that point on he was playing on a different level.

Before that, it was like he was being limited and just didn't look as if he was playing comfortable football.

I will say this, I do think JL has the mechanics to be a successful back up QB in the NFL, but I think JJ brings an element to the college game that JL can't offer which is why I would like to see the two share snaps opposed to debating over which one should be the starter, etc.

NO

JJ JL =/= Leak and Tebow

teams rarely win anything of merit using 2 QBs...

It was obvious that JJ improved over the last half of the season, even with Crowton, throwing for 14, 51 (Lee threw for 41 with more attempts), 254, 184, and 158. With 5 TDs and INTs. Running for 166 total yards and 2 TDs. And JJ had an average QB rating of 153 (while Lee is at 145.1 this season).

Look, I am glad Lee is starting and I want him to continue to be the man but to say that JJ didn't get better over the last half of the season and that he apparently has no ability to get better under a great QB coach is absolutely ridiculous.

To answer the OPs question, yes I am excited to see how JJ has improved under Krags' tutelage. Then again, I am an LSU fan regardless of who the QB is unlike 90% of rantards.

Yes, I absolutely want to see this. Once we are up by 3 TDs

I was thinking 2, but 3 works.

I agree. That is why I want him to redshirt so he can start next year.

At the beginning of the season I couldn't wait to see JJ, because I heard that he grew as a QB in the offseason and heard he did really good stuff at the Manning Camp. But now that the TEAM is doing well with JLee, I have always been a firm believer in the term,"If it ain't broke, don't fix it"

People are basing their opinion on which guy they rather have at QB.

JJ has the ability, he just hasn't been consistent which I think is contributed to the coaching staff limiting him (I think at times they also limited JL), but as well as we are doing now, I think having to depend strictly on JL as the season progresses would eventually catch up with us.

I think Florida and Bama's defense would have a field day with just JL.

As it see it, it could also be a backdoor method of pushing an agenda.

No one made Jefferson throw the ball to the other team

From what you saw out of hi in 09 10 jj doesn't provide much , what did jl in those seasons besides thrown an interception just about every pass we are talking about this football season.

I'm pretty content with how things are going. If we are up by 4 tds, put JJ in so Lee doesn't get hurt and in case Lee gets hurt.

Why do you want to frick around with your offense right now? Lee is getting the job done, he's running the offense really well right now.

Yep...and I'm sure Bama is already taking notes. Ideally, LSU has a package of plays that is specifically designed around Jeffferson's abilitites that they won't unveil until November 5th and Bama won't be able to prepare for it.
