If we are undefeated when they come strollin in to Tiger Stadium
Realistically, we are 4-1 at worst (knock on wood). Georgia game week before plus this game is the peak of the season. If for some reason we come out of this 6-0 then all bets are off. We have a week off before Auburn to get over the hangover. The possibilities...........It's fun to dream!

If we strole into UGA and beat them by 2 TDs which is a stretch, but possible cause I dont think there D is going to be that much better than last year, Im gonna be flying high heading into Florida. We need to get the lead early on UGA and then just run scott and hide our tricks so FLorida wont know what hit them when we pull some
. Sorry I had a little homerism building up and felt i had to unleash it

At home, it's certainly possible.
I dont expect us to be more that 2 or 3 dog.
Chavis at the helm of our defense will give us a fighting chance.
Ole Piss beat them last year for God's sake, that's enough rational for me any day.

Yes I do, I have been telling my friends that exact thing for months. We will give florida their first lose this season. They will roll in Baton Rouge all full of themselves and leave with a whipped arse.

And tebow will cry and give another epic speach and the media will be more obsessed with that than the helluva a game Les Miles planned and how well his team executed it

Could LSU beat Florida this season, yes
Could LSU lose to Arkansas this season, yes
We shall never know what will happen until it happens. Then we will all run to rant and discuss how we could have done it better.

I do. If you look at the NC game, Percy Harvin won that for them. I know they are loaded, but LSU was right there with them until the defense fell apart. I think we take them in Baton Rouge. Defense will be much improved and if Jordan Jefferson can play like he did against Ga Tech, we can beat them. I never was really impressed with their defense.

LSU will lose to UF in the regular season but will beat UF in the SECCG!!!!!!! Go Tigers!!!!!
Posted on 8/7/09 at 9:27 pm to ShortyRob
I think we will be just as good as anyone offensively, if we play control football and be good in all aspects of the game we can beat any plus the 90 plus thousand at tiger stadium helps also

I never like to predict an LSU loss, but it would be understandable if we didn't win this one. UF comes off a bye while LSU has to play at Georgia the week before. I think that it's important to beat Georgia or Florida, and it's vital to beat Bama and Ole Miss.
If the Tigers lose to Florida, but make it to the SEC Championship Game, I think the Tigers will win that one! If so, it's Pasadena!!!!
Geaux Tigers

LSU has scored 10, 28, and 21 points (19.7 average) over the last three years against Florida. Two of those LSU teams were commanded by either a first pick in the NFL draft or a skilled, heady senior surrounded by a virtual NFL farm club. This year, Jordan Jefferson - a sophomore without a full year starting under his belt - will have to lead his team against what appears to be the best defense in college football. Taking Scott, Dickson, and LaFell into account, along with an above-average offensive line, I think LSU will score between 13 and 20 points in this game. If I had to pick a point total, it would be 17 for LSU.
So the question is, can LSU's retooled defense hold UF's offense below 17-points? I just can't see it. UF has too many weapons, too much speed, and too much experience. The running backs are all dangerous, the tight end is a mismatch, the offensive line opens holes, and the quarterback seemingly can't be stopped.
In the last three years versus LSU, Florida has scored 23, 24, and 51 points (32.7 average). I think UF will score between 28 and 41. If I had to pick a point total, it would be 35 for UF.
Intangibles:
Off-week for UF: +4
Night game for LSU: +2
Home game for LSU : +5
A loss the previous week versus Georgia, for LSU: +5
A victory the previous week versus Georgia, for LSU: -5
Likely score of game, depending on LSU's preparation after Georgia win/loss:
UF - 39
LSU - 19
or
UF - 39
LSU - 29
If LSU beats Georgia the week before, which I think they will, they will be in all kinds of trouble versus Florida. However, if LSU loses to Georgia, they will approach the week with their backs against the wall and will do a much better job of focusing. If this is the case, LSU possibly give the Gators quite a bit of trouble and may be in the game until the end.
My personal belief is LSU will beat Georgia, and then unravel versus a well-rested and prepared UF.
