The thing about Miles is that he has the temperament to deal with the pressures of a LSU and an unforgiving fanbase.
I think he's loyal to his assistants and is good to work for. He's proven that he can find quality assistant coaches, Pelini, Chavis, Crowton (did lead offense to national title and some of the things he did in Ohio St game were all him), Kragthorpe, Cooper (have our DB's ever been better), Wilson, etc.

Possibly, but I'd say that having to kick Perilloux off the team had a much bigger impact on the two "down" years than bad coordinators.
fwiw...after you kids have been around a while, you will learn to appreciate a 8-5 and 9-4 season in "down years"....every school has them...EVERY SCHOOL......Mighty Texas just had a losing season...they all do kiddo.....and LSU will again as well.

and, I'm not even a Saban lover. But, your argument is stupid. Saban has accomplished the same amount that Miles has, and Saban did it in year 2 on a team that was rebuilding. Miles did it in year 3 of a team that was already loaded.
And, I find it curious that you are adding a SEC title and NC title to Miles' record to prove your point, before the 4th week of the season. You could also just pretend that Saban's gonna win both this year and his run at Bama is more impressive than Miles' run here.

Untrue. Going into the last weekend last year we still had a chance for a 3 way tie for 1st place in West, with Auburn and Alabama if Bama had held on to beat Auburn and we had defeated Arky.
If you are going to bash Miles, at least try to get your facts correct.

Leslie will likely lose 2 games this year. I have no reason to believe otherwise b/c he's NEVER lost fewer than 2. I doubt anyone on here will be singing his praises at season's end if we have 2 losses. Just sayin. For that reason, I do NOT like Les Miles.

the SEC seems more advanced (mainly b/c we finally accept offensive innovations) but people forget those UTenn and UF teams in the early 00s
2003 was down, but i think UGA may have been the #2 or 3 team in the country that year. they had 3 losses, 2 being to LSU. there was still an elite SEC opponent in 2003

There is many factors that have nothing to do with coaching that led to down years in 08 and 09. Just notice the upward trend since and you can figure it out if you have been paying attention.
