I think we have a solid team that will be returning next year. But it seems like the best teams have star power like Glen Davis for LSU a few years back, Anthony Davis for Kentucky this year, and Kemba Walker for UCONN last year. I think we need another star, so better recruiting.

LSU needs a 'star'!! You think?

by that do you mean, a really good player?

that's always the quick solution:

when coaching fails, recruit better.

GD was not a star at LSU. He helped get Brady fired. He was lazy, couldn't dunk the ball, couldn't rebound, only wanted to shoot 3's to impress NBA scouts......was not a team player......

Not right now,no...But there is no reason a top athletic program like LSU with the facilities, money, recruiting area should not be a perennial SEC power.Especially since the SEC is usually heavy in the east in basketball only.

Forget about being the leading scorer of the 06 tournament and leading LSU to the final four.

We should just concentrate on what really matters at LSU, which is Football and Baseball. Im not sure LSU basketball could win the student REC league right now.

I think they could (keyword could) be over .500 in the SEC next year and make the NCAA tournament.

Put me down as a cautious optimist.
