What game did you watch, bama got into scoring position 3 or 4 times depending if you count tthe dumb trick play.

Honestly they could play the game ten times and I couldn't see lsu scoring over ten pts in any game. Bama's defense was that good and lsu's offense was that bad.

The trick play happened after Trent's run. That's the only time Alabama did anything offensively in the 2nd half.

nah, in games 3-10 Lee would play more, if not be the full time QB a couple times, and that's good for some pts. even Les' stubbornness has its limit.

They GOT to play us again. We HAD to play them again.

Nuanced, but true. Even so, I believe the one major factor in the second game's outcome was something that may or may not have happened off the field on the LSU side, coupled with a pretty bum game plan, and a coach's stubborn refusal to replace a hapless QB who obviously did not "have it" that night with not one but two other very talented QBs waiting in the wings and a RS who could have run a few "Wild Tiger" plays to really shake things up. The way our D held Bama to only FGs for most of this game says we were only a shake-up or two away from changing everything. The way LSU had played all season, this was our M.O. and *CLM abandoned that in favor of playing "not to lose."

LSU would have gotten a rematch given their SOS.

Nope. They wouldn't. LSU is not a Tier 1 Media Darling.

Just because I don't agree with you doesn't mean I'm "whining".

Bama was better than LSU this year.

Series tied 1-1.

So was their coach. Saban was outcoached in the first game, but he made Miles quit in game two.

You just contradicted yourself.

I think we were the better team. The teams were very evenly matched, though.

Saban outcoached Miles in the BCS game, but Miles outcoached Saban on Nov. 5th. The teams played different styles, but were evenly matched talet wise. It was mainly intangibles that made the difference in both games. On Nov. 5th Alabama was tight and unprepared. In the BCS game it was LSU that was unprepared. Miles mistake in that game was that his gameplan relied too much on setting up plays that they had planned but were'nt able to get to because their early plays were not successful. He kept waiting for those plays to work so he could get other plays called when he should have abandoned that gameplan all together and gone with something else in the second half.
