is just a couple of months in the spring enough to start seeing progress and changes implemented in our d? specifically the d line?

or will the coaches take the spring as just an opportunity to get a feel for what type of players we have, then start implementing changes come august?

You bet your sweet arse that BeBe isn't gonna step in amd spin his wheels until August. That man is in the business of total domination, and you will see that translate to the field.

I'm really excited about Coach O working with the D line. Even more excited to see him on the sideline on gamedays.

I think so.

People may downvote, but I am sure all of the coaches and players will be very hungry.

Yep, Coach O on the sidelines will give that defense an extra boost, I can wait to see that interaction.

I think we see a huge improvement.
I'll be honest, IM still skeptical of Steele's ability to produce a top 20 defense regularly, but when we hired O I feel much better.
The reason is that the D-line is the most important component on D. A good D-line makes up for a lot. Coach O will have them ready and aggressive, something we've really been lacking. That will pay huge dividends and prolly compensate for any disparity in Steeles coaching ability compared to Chavis...

I think you are going to see a total overhaul of how we play on the Line. Just a different approach.

From what some NFL scouts have said about some of our players coming out of LSU, they were weak in regards to technique. Well, Orgeron is going to fix that. He's going to be the best DLine coach since Karl Dunbar, who was excellent.

I know a lot of people will say Jenkins, but Dunbar was awesome. Wish he would have stuck around.

I know right? Our D Line rarely got pressure on its own the past 2 or 3 years. It was hard to watch them at times just getting pushed around, like against Notre Dame, that sucked. When you have a good D Line that can get constant pressure then you dont have to send extra blitzers as much on 1st and 2nd downs.

Hunter was an animal in last years spring game and we all saw how that translated to the season. Who cares how they perform in a scrimage as log as they produce during the season.

We basically had zero pressure while rushing 4. That's unacceptable, especially at LSU. That's what we're known for.

If Coach O gets us some QB pressure with our 4 DL, watch out. Because our talent on the backend is gonna be enough on its own regardless of whos DC. Coach O was a homerun hire

Think he can turn Herron and Bower into mosters this year on the end?
