He's played his last down for LSU.

No. Simmons mailed it in. Fournette is a different person. He has pride. He'll get healthy and help this team win.
The entire basketball team (except maybe Blakeney) mailed it in following the late season loss Alabama. Still, Simmons went for 19/11/5 in the final 7 games, which were a disaster.
That aside, I suspect there are some people in Fournette's ear encouraging him to make sure he is as close to 100% healthy before he plays again. Us fans may not like it, but the kid has a lot more to think about than just whether LSU has a good 2016 season the rest of the way.
I think he will try to make it back for Ole Miss and Bama, as both will be "showcase" games. But with 2 losses and the Heisman Trophy likely an afterthought, I don't see LF on the field until he feels he's as close to healthy as possible.

LF looked pretty upset that he wasn't playing Saturday night.

Is that your opinion, or do you have inside info?

I saw this..
Still didn't see where they are claiming he will. Maybe one of us read through it too fast?

Never said they did. My original post was a quote from the article. The only people who used the word "done" were you and Tiger Rag. Tiger Rag said "his work may be done at Death Valley". I'd say for a publication to print that they must have a pretty good reason, you think? Genuinetiger said he has played his last down for LSU.
