agreed.
however... go back and look at the last 4-5 years and you'll see in each of those years the top 12 included at least 4 conference champions. it will be a rare year that you don't have 4 conference champions in the top 12. so, if you are top 10-12, you almost guaranteed to be in, but not 100%. it's college football; so, expect something crazy to happen. and when it does, it will probably happen to us.

Too many unknowns. The defense would have to be significantly better for us to make the playoff.

I think we are one of four SEC teams to make it.
