Sticky this for next fall. I think you're wrong.

I just think that Oregon is way better coached, and runs a scheme that will give us fits. Bottom line is that I think that Oregon is just flat out better than us.

I think we could score a lot of points on them with a new OC, but Chavis has shown me nothing to believe that we will be able to stop them. We are so poorly out of position versus spread teams its ridiculous. My only hope is that our D-Line just absolutely abuses their O-Line. I think that is our only shot.

Then again, if Crowton is back it won't matter because we won't score more than 20. Nothing will change with this current staff. We will have good talent and a solid 2011 season. However Oregon could very well beat the frick out of us.

All that may be true, but we'll certainly know more in a couple of weeks. If they go toe-to-toe with Auburn and handle them, then I'll be very impressed. But I think Auburn's lines could dominate this game. Like ours possibly could next year in September as well. It will be very telling to see how they play against a physical team. Maybe they are just that good. We'll see.

By the way, obviously we need a QB to step up in the worst way, and some OL, RBs, and WRs to develop just like every school. But the success of this team next year might depend almost solely on 2 groups of young guys stepping up and making plays--LBs and DTs. I can't see us being a really good defense without figuring out a way to not have too much of a dropoff at LB with the loss of Shepard. Better play out of Francios or another OLB on that side would help immensely. Then Minter(or whoever's at MLB) won't have to match K Shep. The unit needs to be good somehow.

And one of Brockers, Ego, or Freak has to be able to consistently wreak mamor havoc. I think Brockers could develop into a Fairly type before he leaves. Let's hope he takes a huge step toward that between now and September.

Yes, LSU can win. Will come down to how much the offense has improved in the offseason.

Who knows what will happen tomorrow very less what will happen next Sept, but LSU in the last 2 full regular seasons has played 2 #1 ranked teams, a #3 ranked team, and 3 other Top 10 ranked teams and has yet to have "the frick beat out of us".

Like the defensive staff or not, but we have played 2 years straight a SOS ranked in the teens and had a scoring D ranked in the top 15 or better.

i'd say there is a much greater chance Oregon beats us like a drum then the other way around

that said, i dont envision a blowout score wise either way...it's possible oregon dominates the game but only wins by 7-10 points

right now, i'd say it'll be a close game that could go either way...the game is a long way away

We are going to kick Oregon's arse up and down the JerryWorld field. The A&M game is just a little preview.

Yes, just like they can this year.

What kind of question is this?

I hope so but I doubt it unless we find an offense!

Same old reason JJ will play because Les claims no matter who the new QB is he doesn't know the play book. It can't be that hard. Roll out to the short side of the field.

I think it will be a good game for about three quarters. Thereafter, Oregon's defense will be worn down and LSU pulls away. The best way to keep from "going up and down the field with Oregon" is to keep Oregon's offense off the field as much as possible. "Three yards and a cloud of dust"!

We'll know a heck of a lot more in a few days. I remember watching us botch a tied ball game, with 6 minutes left, and the ball at the 40 yard line against Auburn. We had auburn dead to rights.

We'll see what caliber Oregon is when they play Auburn. If they get slaughtered by Auburn, I will feel much better about the game. If they play close, I think it's anybody's game. If Oregon does what they did to Tennessee, I think we have much work to do to be competitive with them.

Remember, no team, no matter how talented they were, didn't have their hands full trying to beat us. We lost 2 games on the road to very good football teams. Both of which are in BCS bowls, including the National Championship. Oregon better be ready, either way.

The ONLY thing that makes me feel positive about it is that we'll have all summer and fall basically to prepare but after watching what attacks like Ole Miss and Auburn did to us I'm a little scared of what Oregon may do. I think the offense should be alright but in a shoot out, I dunno.

LSU offense is nowhere near good enough to hang with Oregon. You can't expect the defense to win this one by themselves.

Nobody knows how good either offense will be next year.

We can, but we won't. As long as GC is here, we're screwed.
