Hard to say I think he's a brilliant coach but he's very young and still seems passionate about designing and calling defense. I'd give him 5-10 more years and then he maybe a great head coach.

I don't think he has the personality for head coaching.

It's a good thing you're not paid for your opinion.

Neither do you or anyone else here. None of us have seen him demonstrate the skills of a head coach. You all want so badly for it to be true that he would make a great one just because you think it would be an easy way to keep him around.

I believe Aranda when he says he want to be an NFL DC. He strikes me as a technical guy who loves that aspect of the game and would rather someone else handle all the BS of being in charge of the whole program. Someone might come along and make him an offer that is too good to refuse but if it isn't what he really wants to do, I don't see how he'll be good at it.

ETA: I could see Canada as a head coach though.

I think he would be an excellent coach in most most every aspect of the game.
The big mystery is how will he do with recruiting. I think he is learning a lot from Coach O on how to properly run a major program.

Maybe after he's part of a National Championship team at LSU he may be considered for a HC position.

If he plays his cards right he may find himself the LSU head man in the next few years....
