Do y'all think Watford and Smart return?

Many people say Watford is gone. I believe he would have better stock in next years draft if he stayed another year. Same with Javonte Smart. They need some more time to be developed.

Spoke to some of Watford’s kin after game the other day. They are leaning towards him leaving after this year

I 100% agree with this. From all we have been told since Watford's initial recruitment, the plan was always for him to go after one year. Williams has a child and is ready to make money for his family. Smart absolutely needs to return without question and I expect him to.

I would think he stays, he'll be the man on team next year plus I don't think he is even on draft radars right now. Hopefully he looks to Skylar as an example of staying in school can do for your game.
Watford is probably gone, but wouldn't surprise me if he stayed. The family is pretty open about not "having" to go pro this year, and if he returns while improving defense and his 3 point shot he could bump into a lottery pick imo (I know nothing about next years draft class)

I know some will say Wade would "process" lesser contributors if need be (and he very well may), but I think LSU taking Gaines' commitment (which puts them 2 over the "limit") probably signaled Watford is likely leaving. Certainly he is a take if he wants to come back as he would still be LSU's best frontcourt scorer, but 5 stars guys all see themselves on the fast track to the NBA and that predetermined mindset can be hard to shake.
Obviously it has worked out for Reid, but I bet he never imagined not being drafted when he arrived at LSU

Watford gone even though not showing up in any first round mocks
Only thing that might make Watford come back is what they say when he goes through the pre draft workouts and if he's willing to risk the non guarantee contract if you are not in first round
What's telling is Wade's recruiting which seems to indicate several spots being filled with expectation of those leaving for draft and someone like Bishop or Cooper who may not be in the plans even though Wade was complimentary of the extended minutes Cooper had to play recently

None of the three are projected to go in the two rounds of the NBA draft. So no on all three!

While NBA drafts on potential alone, he still needs to show an outside game. He is 6 foot 6 and is not going to play the 4. He needs what D. Days has. I do not see him being drafted higher than Watford by any means.
Smart needs another year...unless he wants to play in Turkey. He has to show that he is viable at BOTH guard positions. He is not a great point guard...not a great shooter. He will be a pro, but needs time. As I said NBA drafts on potential, but they do not say "He shoots 28 percent from three. He has the potential for 38." Either you can shoot or you cannot when it comes to downtown.
I say Watford is gone. 2nd round. Everyone else will be back. And we will be a preseason top 15 pick.

I can see them both going, but would be a terrible move; more so for Smart than Watford. Unfortunately, I just can't see Smart making it in the NBA...

I didn’t think Naz was ready last year to go to the NBA, but I think even he was 5x more prepared than Watford.

If all come back, we will be picked no lower than 2nd place in SEC. And the depth would be phenomenal.

Love Watford and I think he plays hard but good lord he better improve defensively before the next level.

Wade said he got hit in the chest during practice earlier in week and was sore but would be good for Friday.

I hope William and Watford return. Probably won't though. I don't have care if Smart returns or not with the group coming in. I thought Smart would be elite I don't think he will ever be anything but a decent player who most likely kills a team when not playing well vs carrying a team.
