Not sure when bye week is? Come on brother it has been the week before Bama in late October for many years.

He's not going to win a Heisman, so yeah. Sit him. And most of the starters should sit after the first quarter.

I would give him a couple of drives then.

I think he needs a lot of reps, but rest also.
His first TD was an interception if the db had any type of skill. Underthrown to the inside is double bad.
And the wide open td was a throw that possibly my 13 yr old could make, lol

Overall, good game for him, but still some moments that would have been trouble against higher talent

I hope both the backup QBs get lots of quality touches next week. In the best of a healthy Leavitt situation,

It'll be the last game where they are assured of many such opportunities.

Suddenly, our schedule for October doesn't look nearly as "easy" as it did before the season started.

I generally don’t like my QB playing against a nobody school when they are dealing with a hamstring injury but that’s just me

A good bit but Leavitt plays

Hope so let him heal and see what you have with clark.

If Leavitt is as good as yall claim he is have him healthy for Bama, Kentucky (underrated) , and Mississippi state type games coming up.

How could he play if he cannot run?

Tell me you didn't watch the 3rd Quarter of last night's game without telling me you didn't watch the 3rd Quarter of last night's game.

It's a hammy. It's going to be chronic. He's going to alternate therapy, work, practice, rest, repeat and play as much as he can.

Now, maybe, he only plans to play 2 or 3 series against McNeese and both Clark and Longstreet actively prepare with the expectation that we play all 3 QBs on Saturday. Conversely, assuming he is cleared, have Sam the literal starter (because he has earned the position), but that he will sit quickly and just stay loose and ready "just in case" (not likely against McNeese).

Whatever he can do to maintain his body's game rhythm without putting undue stress on the hammy.

It's also reasonable to begin preparing (particularly Clark) the backups for just more reps because the injury is going to drive how much Sam can reasonably play over the next 4 games. November is the more brutal part of the schedule, at least on paper right now.

He needs the reps.

Same argument was made for Nuss last year vs SLU. How did that all turn out in the long run?

Still needs to work on getting comfortable in the pocket and timing with Receivers. Think he plays 4 series and LK will make sure they are passing for most of them.
