Just looking at all the responses to this thread and it is pretty embarrassing. And I mean people just hating just for the sake of hating. There's even a guy who admitted to teaching his children to hate? Seriously?! How about just enjoying the sport? I just poke fun at the other school just for sporting competition. I actually like and respect the other schools.

But then again I should know better than to expect an civil conversation regarding the OTHER football team. LoL, I keep laughing at the guy who's very open to teaching ignorance to his children. Good job "Father of the Year".

Yea, hating a football program is a lot different than hating on people. I have friends that are USC and Notre Dame fans. Do I hate them? No, but I hate the program they cheer for. It is all in good nature and it is not like my parents raised me to blow up their athletic buildings you fricking moron.

Well reading the rhetoric from your post sounded more like it. If you don't want your post to be misinterpreted (thesaurus perhaps) then read over your writing then follow up. I do appreciate the response to my post to clear things up.

Sorry guys but in terms of story and tradition, USC wipes the floor with LSU and it's not even close.

NOW PLEASE STOP MAKING IT LOOK LIKE THE SCHOOL I ATTEND IS FILLED WITH NOTHING BUT A BUNCH OF IGNORANT HILLBILLIES.

Your statement above tells me how ignorant you are. Last I checked, Louisiana was a rather flat state and lacks a mountainous region, therefore there aren't hills to have hillbillies. California is a very mountainous state. From your post, I assume you grew up in the hills, you hillbilly.

There are more "backwoods" type of people in California than you can imagine. They know very little about anything outside of the area where they live. There are towns in this state that make the most backwoods towns in Mississippi look cosmopolitan.

I wasn't debating the validity of the statement, only showing his use of the term is a very common one.

That said, there are a lot of very well-educated people in Louisiana but as a whole, our poverty level is very low in comparison to others Nationwide. There's a very high correlation with that to "backwoods".

This thread about a school we've played twice, EVER, and the hatred expressed says a lot imo. But hey, you guys knock yourselves out.

And the inner city. Truth is, poverty usually festers where education is not emphasised. Its not limited to the backwoods.

In LAT's defense I've never associated Louisiana with hillbillies either.

True and California has PLENTY of their own problems. I sure wouldn't leave Louisiana to live there.

Its a SHAME that USC is even brought up on THIS SITE by ANY LSU fan. USC was a GREAT TEAM in the 200's. BUT I still belilive that 2003 LSU would have beaten USC STRAIGHT UP.

I attend LSU. I'm not sure that attacking my intellect is doing your argument much justice.

That's what I was thinking. For all practical purposes, they're not relevant to us.

They weren't too shabby in the 60's & 70's either.

Geauxtiga really has the right idea.

This thread is not rational - at all. USC and LSU next to nothing to do with each other. They've played twice ever. And the 2003 fiasco is entirely the BCS's fault. Does any rational fan actually think that Oklahoma deserved to be in the NCG?

But back to the point... for the LSU fanbase to have such hatred for USC, who is so largely irrelevant to LSU football, is quite frankly acting stupid and asking to be criticized by a lot of people.

Why can't LSU just focus its hatred on Auburn or Bama?
