Watched this play 10 times right after it happened.

There was some hand fighting on the like every play that game. The receiver ran the wrong route or a different one that was thrown. The receiver was running a stop or an inside button hook to the middle of the field. Pickett was on his outside shoulder so kinda makes sense. The QB threw the ball to the outside to the flat so he was clearly expecting something different than was run and that was problematic as Pickett was already there as if he ran the route or anticipated it. At this point the Ole Miss Receiver sees this and grabs Pickett as he is playing DB. Then Pickett pushes him to get free from him and catches the ball.

I get why it was called, but I know this isn't a penalty in the NFL but maybe different in college but if the DB knows the route has a right to the ball too. Or does he?

Maybe the most blatant PI I’ve ever seen.

You never saw the PI the Rams got away on the Saints? He made no attempt to go for the ball. He knew it was PI and expected it to be called.

So initially I knew the flag was pass interference. Thought the replay looked better and had doubts but I think they call that 8/10 times.

I watched the game bouncing from bar to bar but what happened to DJ after that? They pulled him and I didn’t see him much after and they thought right to that side several times for big plays. Hope they didn’t limit his snaps after that play. Kid was playing with great confidence.

If Williams stays down the sideline on his pic instead of cutting to the middle, he scores. Neither is the reason for the loss.

4 picture sequence that happens within 2 seconds. Pickett played the ball well until he grabs the Ole Miss WR’s jersey on left shoulder and pushes him aside. If he doesn’t grab the jersey I believe there is no PI called.

As an LSU fan, it was the correct call. You can’t grab the jersey.
If the roles are reversed and the Ole Miss DB pulls on Anderson’s jersey and returns the INT for a pick 6 , LSU fans would be livid crying how the SEC office in Birmingham is screwing us !
