A batting title and gold glove winner. What's not to love?

Don't forget all star.
I think if he wins batting title he would be the only player to ever do it

Yep. No player has ever won both the AL and NL batting titles. He's having a special year

If he wins batting title twice both in AL and NL, does that write his ticket to Hall of Fame.

No, not that alone. It does add to his list of records though, along with things like getting the 1st MLB hit, and 1st scored run, on European soil.

As much as I dislike the Yankees I have zero issues pulling for a Tiger in pinstripes.

Ho many former Tigers have played for the Yankees?

I recall Clay Parker (punted bare foot in football in '82) pitched for the Yankees some. Others?

Ed Yarnall was a pitcher on the 96 CWS team. Played 1 year for the Yankees.

Wasn't a Tiger, but Ron Guidry was a Yankee I rooted for back in the day.

If I can pull for Shaq as a Laker, a Laker for god's sake, anything is possible. Or Debo as a Falcon by god

Ron Guidry was the reason I followed the Yankees as a kid.
They been my favorite team every since.
DJ and now Nick Smith is just icing on the cake.
