He was not being reprimanded.

The running play is not a punishment for the QB. It's a staple of every offense. In the SEC, you have to be able to run the ball, particularly in the final minutes of a games when you lead.

In the final minutes of the game last night, LSU was leading. Thus, LSU ran the ball. Lee was not being reprimanded. He played pretty damn good.

Please, let's not pretend the slightest bit of mishap doesn't send this coaching staff into a massive phobia complex. Like a little boy touching a hot stove, he runs away and never approaches the stove again.

The problem is we were only up by 10, 16-6, at that point and later in the year we will need that killer instinct to put teams away with that next score. Remember there was over 9 minutes left to play.

The issue is Miles lack of killer instinct, its what separates him from the better coaches....that and not waiting 7 seconds before you call a timeout in obvious time conserving situations, aka the end of the first half.
