..to busy celebrating. (We don't win that much so give me a break). All I saw was the final score (34-24) which really shocked me, I was looking for a 41-10ish. Did they score a few at the end or something, no way MSU hung around with LSU, or did they?

By the way I hope yall go to UF and help with the new Florida losing streak in the swamp!

We controlled the whole ball game they just got lucky with a few turnovers and a good kickoff return.

LSU was rolling in the middle of the 2nd Q about to make it a blow out but then committed 2 turnovers on successive drives, leading to MSU scoring a TD.

MSU actually did "hang" around, but never threatened.

State had short fields to score on in all but one possession...at the end, we had a coverage breakdown and T. Lee threw it in the right spot and was aided with a bogus 15 yard penalty for a late hit.

The game was never in question, even though State might have had a chance to tie it at one point. Scott ran for 140 yards...Lee threw for 260...all in all, we were flat, but it was obvious which team was beating who. Limited State's Dixon to under 60 yards on 20 carries.

LSU played it's B-/C plus game and State might have had their best offensive showing of the year. The game had more of a 34-10 feel to it, though. Just my .02.

State isn't as bad as alot have made them out to be. It also appears that they have found them a QB.

2 minutes more of the game and we'd have 41 points

coverage breakdown

Is that a weakness for the Tigers or just making stupid mistakes?

we had problems wit the dumpoff passes to the RB...which is a LB issue imho

beckwith should help in that aspect

we also didnt blitz...esp after 2 starting DT's went down

LSu just got in a huge drum circle at midfield, after the half and celebrated the Gold out. It was amazing.

at the moment I would call it inexperience. But it could become a weakness if they don't improve.

My question:

Will Ole Miss get a banner to hang next to the 2003 SEc West Champs that says:

Ole Miss 31 Florida 30

?

I would call it a question mark that hasn't been answered yet Reb. If I say more, I will be smacked off the board. But it's still a work in progress....

I actually like Ole Miss being competitive. I got tired of those Oregron-led teams. Nutt is a vast improvement over Yaw Yaw.

I think that is all that any Ole Miss fans really want. Just to be competitive. Its to hard to compete with the bigger universities IMO.
