our Prevent Defense

If the players would have actually run the prevent called, it never would have happened.

That was quite a meltdown though. Thank God Saban won the SEC the year prior and the year afterwards. Hmmm.

Not really. You have to recall that, only one season earlier, Saban had led LSU to its first SEC Championship in the two division era

Yea but didnt he have 3 losses during the regular season when he won his first SEC title? How many losses do we have right now?

Sounds good. You'll look less retarded.

The last play came on 31-yard pass over the top of our secondary. The prevent play call had nothing to do with the TD. There was like 0:15 seconds left in the game and we were up by six. The prevent is the right call because you want everything in front of you. A field goal does Arkansas no good in that situation.

It was a blown coverage assignment by the secondary which differs greatly from clock mismanagement and poor playcalling from the sidelines.

In any of the Saban losses were any because of absolutely boneheaded coaching decisions? At least with Saban you know what you were gonna get from the staff and from the team. Did Saban throw everyone under the bus after a loss?

The fans....and Miles hasn't thrown anyone under the bus...as much as some of you would like to believe that.

Saban also never had a losing SEC record.

He was also never forced to start a 3rd and 4th string QB or coach against Meyer every year.

Can you honestly tell me Miles could have built this program up the same way Saban did? Look at Saban to last 2 years in the SEC and look at Miles. Saban is suppose to be rebuilding.

Shouldn't that taint the SEC title ? No team had ever won with 3 losses. Sounds pretty lucky, kind of 'backed into'.

What 3rd stringer is Miles forced to start?

And Mauck got hurt in 2002, the season in question and left early after 2003 leaving MR and an inexperienced JR.

I never said Saban wasn't responsible for where our program is now. I'm not questioning his coaching ability. There were people, myself NOT included, that wanted him fired. That is all.

Not the Miles haters. They all know that it was the players fault that game was lost. Nick the midget could never be blamed for anything that went wrong with the team while he was here. He always had the team ready, it was THEIR fault if they lost the game.

Totally different situation then compared to now. Then we were just an program gettings it feet. We have been nothing but a typical middle of the pack SEC team and was just starting to build our program.

Today we are a national powerhouse loaded with as much if not more talent than ANY team in the country.

We should expect more.

Didn't see the UAB game, but it was also his first year. Iowa, are you talking about the last second TD? Did you want him to call timeout even though there was 6 seconds left and Iowa was out of timeouts? During the game he switched quarterbacks once he realized that Marcus Randall couldn't get it done. During the 2004 season when Justin Vincent wasn't getting the job done he puts in Broussard and Addai. Do you remember the Kentucky game in 2007 where Charles Scott rushes for over 100yds in the first half only to be benched for Jacob Hester the entire second half?

Saban took over a 4-7 and 2-8 (1-) program and led LSU to 4 straight New Years Day bowl appearances. Something LSU had never done prior or has since.

Why didn't he sit Mauck in the Florida game up 36-7 in the 4th to give Randall some reps ?

Miles has won one.
